We are sorry to see you go. Account deletion is irreversible. Please read the information below before proceeding.
Delete from the app
Steps to follow in the app:
- Open the The One app
- Go to Profile then Settings
- Tap Delete my account
- An explicit confirmation will be requested before the deletion
Deletion via support
If you no longer have access to the app, you can request the deletion of your account by email:
- Address: privacy@gettheone.app
- Subject: The One account deletion
- Information to provide: the email address associated with your account and your username
Processing time
- Acknowledgment: within 7 business days
- Effective deletion: within 30 days maximum (excluding legal obligations)
What happens after deletion?
Deleted data:
- Profile (username, avatar, bio, city, sports)
- Preferences and settings
- Push tokens
- Social connections (friends, blocks)
- Reliability score and achievements
- Analytics data (dissociated from identity)
Temporarily retained data:
- Security / anti-fraud logs (12 months maximum)
- Billing data (legal retention period)
Messages and shared content
Your messages are kept in a de-identified form and will be displayed as coming from a "Deleted user". All directly identifying data is removed.
Identity verification
A minimal verification may be performed in order to prevent fraudulent deletions.
Compliance
- Apple App Store (Guideline 5.1.1(v)) — mandatory in-app deletion
- Google Play (Data Safety) — mandatory in-app + web URL deletion
- GDPR — right to erasure (Art. 17)
